How does LED Phototherapy work?

As a result of ageing, problem skin conditions or trauma, healthy cells are compromised and unable to renew themselves normally. Our skin has the ability to absorb certain wavelengths of light and use it as a source of energy to activate specific cellular processes to produce a therapeutic effect. It is a natural biochemical reaction similar to that of plant photo-synthesis.

How safe is the treatment?

LED Phototherapy does not use heat or chemicals and the light does not contain harmful UV wavelengths and so cannot damage skin cells. Dermalux™ provides one of the safest ways to treat all skin types and conditions without risk of irritation, unwanted side effects or downtime.

Will the results be seen straight away?

Following a Dermalux™ treatment, there are some immediate visible changes in the skin but most changes occur naturally over a series of treatments. Results may continue to improve up to 4 to 6 weeks after a course as the effects of LED phototherapy continue to rejuvenate and improve the quality of the skin.

How many treatments are required?
