Dermal fillers are tiny injections that remove the lines and wrinkles on the face or body. The best results are for the lines from the nose to the mouth (naso-labial folds), the lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin (marionette lines), for cheek enhancement, lips and chin.

Dermal fillers are ideal for anyone who wants to look fresher and younger without the need for any cosmetic surgery.

You will be consulted and we will advise you about what is possible in terms of treatment and answer any questions you may have.

You will be asked to fill in a short medical history and both the benefits and possible side-effects of treatment will be discussed. You will be asked to sign a consent form and will be photographed prior to being injected. The photographs will be kept in your medical records for future reference and will not be used in promotional or advertorial material unless you have consented this also.

Treatments are carried out in a clinical environment. You will be asked to lie down comfortably whilst you are treated. The treatment will take an average of thirty minutes. If you are sensitive to injections, particularly when treating the sensitive lip area, we may suggest an anaesthetic cream or local anaesthetic to completely numb the area to be injected.

The desired result is immediately visible. Slight discomfort or swelling and a little redness may appear at the points of entry. All these problems generally lessen within 3 hours and disappear completely within an average of 24 hours.

What products do we use?

Juvederm is one of the best known dermal facial fillers. It is a clear, smooth gel made out of hyaluronic acid (HA) – a natural substance that adds volume and hydration to your skin.

Teosyal is an award winning 100% hyaluronic acid based filler gel which is highly biocompatible and slowly absorbed when injected into the dermis. Teosyal effectively alleviates hyaluronic acid deficiency, preventing and instantaneously correcting wrinkles and hollows whilst remaining perfectly in keeping with your personality and facial features.

Are there any side effects?

Teosyal is not advised for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for people with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, autoimmune disease or other diseases affecting the immune system.
During the week prior to treatment, the use of high doses of aspirin, anti-inflammatory painkillers and anticoagulants is strongly discouraged. During the days following treatment, exposure to extreme temperatures should be avoided (intense cold, saunas, UVs and the sun).

Side effects with Juvederm are rare, but may include redness, tenderness, or pain at the injection site. If these occur, they usually subside within three days. Rarely, discoloration may occur, but this is reversible. Firmness, swelling, bumps and bruises are also rare side effects, and should subside within seven days.
