Is IV Nutrition Therapy safe?
The substances used in IVNT are essential nutrients – vitamins, minerals and water, which the body cannot synthesize on its own and are traditionally obtained from food we eat.
With the prevalence of over-cropped soil, genetically modified and over processed foods and poor diet, many of us are now deficient in these essential nutrients. By replacing our levels, under the expert advice of our team, your body can be restored to its peak fitness and maximum energy performance.
Scientifically proven intravenous treatments
All of the intravenous protocols used at Lioness Medical have been thoroughly researched and developed by a team of leading medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, and nutritionists. By practicing this type of ‘evidence-based medicine’ we can tailor our IV infusions and IM boosters to ensure maximum effectiveness combined with minimal side effects.
Personalised formulations for each client
Male or female, young or old, short or tall, active life style or chained to the desk, people are all unique and so are their nutrient requirements.

Intravenous nutrition – more effective than oral vitamins
Over 30% of the population take daily supplements which can certainly be beneficial. But few people realize that when you swallow a vitamin pill the body’s natural absorption process can render up to 85% of that vitamin useless – only 15% of the active nutrients may eventually find their way into your bloodstream.
With intravenous nutrition the nutrients enter your bloodstream directly and immediately to help the body to begin healing itself. You get much higher concentrations of nutrients delivered directly to your body’s cells through intravenous therapy, thus allowing your body to better absorb and utilize these nutrients.
A good example of this is the use of Vitamin C when trying to overcome a viral cold. The antiviral effects of Vitamin C have been scientifically demonstrated when blood plasma levels are around 10-15 mg/dL. This level is achievable with IV therapy but not orally. A typical oral dose of Vitamin C is 500-1000mg, however even if you were to take a dose of 2500mg/day (which is highly likely to give you diarrhoea) the plasma concentration has been shown to increase to only 1.5mg/dl – ten times less than that required to have an antiviral effect.
